The Village DPW Specialist performs certain types of tests on wastewater samples from different sources to monitor what is flowing in and out of the sewer system and the lagoons.  These complex tests are done several times a month. Here are a few photos to give you a 'sneak peek' of the inside of the lab.    
Wastewater Testing Performed Every Wednesday

      a. Suspended Solids-  measures various solids
      b. BOD's-   measures biochemical O
2 Depletion
      c. Phosphorus-  soaps, detergents & other products
      d. Amonia Nitrate-  amonia levels
      e. Fecal Coli-Form-  bacteria levels

a. PH Levels-  acidicity and alkanility
b. DO Levels-  Dissolved O2 in water
